I think this mod will become my new go to for my playthroughs. Spells are still quite impactful, and weird weapons have been made more relevant as well. It's really like a whole new game but doesn't lose the spirit of the game. You have to weigh options like will I wear heavy armor and take a dex hit (which means ranged is less effective) or will I wear light armor and stay in the backlines? They definitely buff some of the lesser used weapons, and the changes to armor are really cool.Īrmor gives damage resistance % and the heavier the armor the higher the dex penalty/ move speed penalty (but not so much it's unpleasant) No longer are there just a few roflsstomp spells (SLEEP + Command) for you to have at low levels.Īnd the weapons! Such fun goodies out there for your melee guys, again not too OP. There are loads of Touch range spells that have been buffed, which make it quite tempting for your squishy lil Dynaheir to run into melee to do a sneaky Shocking Grasp and get a chance to stun an ogre for a round so you can stomp it. Spell Revisions Spell Revisions Spells Revisions aims to fix/tweak/enhance arcane and divine spells in Baldur's Gate II. I'm doing my first BGEE playthrough with Item revisions and spell revisions mod and wow what a difference it makes!Įvery spell is now useful.but not OP! All those front loaded spells like sleep and command / magic missile are now spread over levels getting progressively stronger as you level up (MM is now every other level you get +1 dart)ĭruid spells have been SIGNIFICANTLY buffed in the lower spell levels, some really cool thematic spells are now available for them and make the lower levels much more manageable as a druid caster.Ĭhoosing spells is quite hard now as every spell has it's use.
